Oversized machinery at a trade show: access, unloading, installation step by step

How to place a tractor, a harvester or a line on 4,400 m² indoors and 5,000 m² outdoors: what to agree before the contract, which documents to prepare, and how not to lose three days to logistics.

Hall or outdoors: the decision is not about size

The first question on site is not “how many square metres” but “what should happen at your stand”.

Indoors (main hall, 4,400 m²) you take what must be seen close up: attachments, seeders, irrigation units, a drip line on a stand, a lab, a greenhouse fragment. Climate control, background audio, the conference room next door and a 350-seat café mean you can keep a delegation at your stand all day.

Outdoors (5,000 m²) goes what must run: tractors and harvesters, centre-pivot machines, feed mixers, pumping stations. Out there the footprint reads in motion, the engine is audible, and you can run a demo cycle without negotiating ceiling height and floor load with the hall’s technologists.

The AGROPRO pattern: the machine outdoors, the attachment and the paperwork indoors, from the same exhibitor. A buyer sees both the equipment and the supply terms — which is why farms come.

What to agree before signing

  • Dimensions, weight, axle loads. For the hall: openings, gate widths, turning radius, maximum floor load and height. At the centre these parameters are confirmed for the specific spot, which is why the placement plan belongs in the application, not “we will send it later”.
  • Ground preparation. Outdoors means site works: levelling, covering where needed, drainage points. Early March in Samarkand is changeable, so plan the demo cycles so they do not depend on rain.
  • Power. 700 kW on site, 220 and 380 V, a dedicated feed to the stand; machinery with high starting currents needs its own line and breaker specification. This is the most common reason a quote gets rewritten, so agree it before the stand design.
  • Demo safety. Barriers, marking, operator instructions, one-gesture stop, a responsible person on the spot.
  • Storage and overnight parking. Equipment stays on the grounds under security and CCTV; the same applies to trailers and attachments on the car park.

Three build days are two logistics days

A split that saves nerves:

  1. 60 days before opening. Indoor space application: description, desired m².
  2. 45 days. Outdoor area: dimensions, weight, axle loads, placement plan.
  3. 30 days. 380 V connection: power and breaker requirements; the same window for furniture, screens and sound from the equipment rental pool.
  4. Build days. Arrivals and unloading follow the venue schedule, the safety check happens before the doors open, night work is agreed separately.
  5. De-install. Packing and exit in the same slot — machinery never leaves through the same corridor as the visitor flow.

If the machine comes from another region or country, the transport plan adds documents: power of attorney, waybill, and for imports the entry and release routine — see the separate breakdown for foreign suppliers.

Who to invite to AGROPRO EXPO 2027

AGROPRO EXPO 2027 runs 2–4 March 2027. Sections: machinery and spare parts, irrigation (drip, circular and drum machines, pumping stations), seeds and agrochemistry, greenhouses, storage and processing, certification. Farms attend (85,000+ farm holdings and 468 agro-clusters in the country), together with dealers, leasing companies and banks with concessional lines — financing is discussed on site, with the people who approve it.

Uzbek agriculture produces more than 25 billion US dollars of output, and in this market machinery is not bought from a catalogue but after seeing it run. That is exactly what the show is for. Apply for space · hall and outdoor plan · technical data sheet
